I know what you’re thinking. ‘Wow, Sofie, you read so much!’ and yes, I do read a lot, but to be fair, at this point, you should no longer be surprised over how awesome I am. Remember: I am an uneducated genius. I am also (I guess, at this point) a bit of a collector when it comes to books about fat politics. I - love - it. So when the world ended in March 2020, I thought: HEY. Why not recommend some of my many great books to my many great followers? WHY NOT? I BET YOU CAN’T THINK OF A REASON EITHER.
I mentioned a bunch of these in some online shows I did - the clip from the show is posted above all of this text. The general vibe is: Introduction to this world of fatness seen in a more positive light. There are some quite personal books, where you can learn more about how to learn to love your own fatness. There’s some more community-based stuff about fat activism and social justice. And of course: food. The most essential books when it comes to starting to heal your relationship with food.
Here are the links. I hope you buy all of the books. And that you enjoy them.
