WILL I EVER HAVE SEX AGAIN?
STAND-UP + BOOK TOUR 2024
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
All venues on this tour have been asked to add fat accessibility to their websites. This includes seat measurements and information about what your options are, if the seats will not be comfortable for you. Some venues will be able to get a different seat for you. All of the information about this should be on their websites already. Try finding their FAQ section or their ACCESSIBILITY section.

The show is divided into three sections.
The first section will take around 45-60 minutes and it will be a stand-up show.
We will then have an interval.
The second half will take around 30-45 minutes, during which I will talk about my brand new book Will I Ever Have Sex Again? and there will be a possibility for you to ask a question during the Q&A section.
After the show is over, I will be in the lobby, where I will be signing books.

With a pretty high certainty, yes. We have partnered with local bookshops who will come to the venue and sell the books. If you want to be absolutely certain, you can buy the book before the show and bring it. I only say this because on my previous book tour, we had one show where the booksellers never showed up. It was a huge misunderstanding and it was no one’s fault. But this is just to say - stuff happens.

I will not harass you from stage in any way. If you are being disruptive and drunk, of course, all bets are off, but I am kind to you if you are kind to me. Just so you know, it’s not that kind of show.
-
I will not be having a support act on this tour. On previous tours, I have been supported by Bisha K Ali, Amy Gledhill, Will Duggan and Daniel Foxx, who are all now successful comedians in their own rights. Go check them out.

I know it’s a weird thing to say since I am THE COMEDIAN ON STAGE, but I get it - I get not wanting to ask a question out loud in a room. At the moment, we do not have an option that lets you easily and simply ask a question without raising your hand and speaking into a microphone. I will offer this instead: Bring a pen and paper. In the interval, ask a member of staff to give me the note before the second half. I will then receive it. It’s not ideal - I wish I could provide pencils and pens to the entire audience, but 1) that’s costly and also 2) it’s asking a lot of the venue staff to hand it all out, when they’re already busy running a whole show. If you want, you could also raise your hand during the Q&A section and just hand me the paper.

I will be signing books after the show. We will try and take some Covid precautions, so we might not be able to hug and cuddle and all of that, but we should be able to, at least, say hi.
-
You don’t have to have read the book beforehand, nor do you have to wait. The show and Q&A will cater to everyone, regardless of whether or not they’ve read the book.

Love, love, love this question. This tour will extend to a few more places, in the UK and in Europe.
The best thing you could do is sign up to my newsletter. It is a monthly newsletter and you will definitely be informed of upcoming shows there. It’s the only truly dependable source - social media hides a lot of my posts from 98% of my followers. Same with my Instagram stories. But my newsletter - it goes out once a month and has ALL the information in them.

The show is listed as 16+. If you believe your younger teenager would be absolutely fine with the show, I can’t physically stop you from trying your luck. I would just like to add a different perspective. I have heard a lot of parents get upset when the venue decides their child can’t come with them to the show - but here is the reason why. It’s not really always about the child. It’s often about the effect it has on the entire show. People become incredibly aware that there is a child in the room. As a performer, I feel like there are things I shouldn’t say. The audience will feel like there are things I shouldn’t say. Your child might be absolutely fine with ANYTHING - but it will still change the atmosphere in the room.
It’s the same with a baby - we all know, obviously, that the baby won’t understand a single word that’s being said, but it really affects the whole room that we KNOW a baby is in there.
So, if you are turned away by the venue staff with your under 16s, it is not because the venue staff think they know better than you what your child can handle… It’s because it affects a show.

You need to speak to the venue directly about any particular need you might have. I hope it will get sorted!
